Q Prime Holding Secures Strategic Stake in HyperLight’s $80 Million Series C Round to Accelerate Next-Generation AI Infrastructure
Q Prime Holding, a premier publicly listed investment entity on the Qatar Stock Exchange, has officially announced its strategic participation in the $80 million Series C financing round of HyperLight, a company developing advanced photonic technologies for next-generation artificial intelligence infrastructure.
Catalyzing the Future of AI Connectivity
HyperLight is a globally recognized pioneer in the development of thin-film lithium niobate (TFLN) photonic technology, an approach to optical connectivity that addresses the bandwidth, latency and energy requirements associated with modern AI data centres, telecommunications networks and high-performance computing environments.
The newly secured Series C funding is earmarked to significantly scale HyperLight’s manufacturing capacity, advance the commercial deployment of its optical engines and support continued development across its integrated photonics platform.
A Syndicate of Global Industry Leaders
The Series C round was led by the MediaTek Innovation Fund, with participation from a syndicate of investors associated with the global technology and semiconductor ecosystem, including UMC and Wavetek, alongside Q Prime Holding.
As global demand for AI compute continues its exponential trajectory, the connectivity layer linking processors, systems and data centres has become a mission-critical component of the technology value chain. Q Prime Holding’s participation reflects the Group’s stated objective of diversifying into high-growth, future-facing technological sectors and mission-critical infrastructure, positioning the Group alongside established international technology investors.
